Amandaville and the winding course of Crocus Creek anchor this mid-2010s survey of south-central Kentucky. The landscape is defined by its deep drainage networks and named ridges, including Independence Ridge and Chestnut Flat Ridge, which separate the various forks and branches feeding into the Cumberland River at the southern edge of the sheet. The settlement pattern is largely dispersed along upland roads, with rural centers like Chance, Inroad, and Cundiff situated among the high ground above the creek bottoms.
