Glacial potholes and prairie wetlands define the landscape of eastern Mcintosh County Waterfowl Production Area in this 2024 topographic study. The terrain is characterized by a high density of small water bodies and seasonal wetlands, illustrating the contemporary conservation efforts in the Prairie Pothole Region of North Dakota. For the genealogist and local historian, the map preserves the locations of several community burial grounds, including the Zion Evangelical Cem, the George Cem, and the George Station German Baptist Cem. Further south, the rural grid is marked by the Bethany Number 1 Cem and Bethany Number 2 Cem, providing vital spatial context for family roots in this agricultural region. The section lines of t132n r69w and t131n r68w show a landscape still deeply rooted in the Public Land Survey System.
