Bishop and its surrounding high plains are defined by the convergence of drainage systems and modern aviation infrastructure in central Wyoming. The landscape is carved by the Casper Creek and S Fork Casper Cr, which meander through the prairie alongside Sixmile Draw. Much of the southern portion is occupied by the sprawling grounds of the Casper/Natrona County International Airport, a site that anchors the local transportation network.
