2020 Map of Blacktail Mountain

USGS Topo · Published 2020

About this map

Gallatin National Forest covers much of this high-elevation terrain within the Bridger Range north of Bozeman. The landscape is defined by its dramatic relief, where Blacktail Mtn and Horsethief Mountain rise above a complex network of drainages. The Blacktail Divide serves as a geographic spine, separating the headwaters of Blacktail Cr and Adolph Cr. To the north, the Middle Fork Sixteenmile Cr cuts through Sixteenmile Canyon, a significant topographical feature traced by Sixteenmile Creek Rd.
