Blue Grass Ridge rises above a diverse landscape of protected wetlands and scattered valley settlements in this 2024 survey of Montana's Flathead County. The terrain transitions from the forested heights of the Flathead National Forest and Bald Mtn in the west toward the agricultural and residential pockets of Smith Valley and Batavia. The southern portion of the map is dominated by the Flathead County Waterfowl Production Area and the waters of Smith Lake, highlighting the area's importance for local conservation. A network of named draws, including McMannamy Draw and Dern Draw, feed into Ashley Creek, while the Ashley Creek Ditch indicates a long-standing history of water management for local farming. In the northwest, the small settlement of Kila and the Spring Creek Cem serve as quiet landmarks of local heritage.
