The settlement of Brant Lake sits at the southwestern edge of its namesake water body, a central corridor of the Adirondack Park Preserve. This Adirondack landscape is defined by its series of high ridges and isolated ponds, including Island Pond, Duck Pond, and the secluded Indian Pond. Significant peaks such as Prickly Ash Mountain, Amasa Mountain, and Pollyann Mountain create a complex topography that separates the lake from the Schroon River valley to the west.
