The White River National Forest defines this high-altitude landscape, where the headwaters of numerous creeks carve through the plateau. Central to the area's movement is the Coffee Pot Road, which provides access to the Coffee Pot Spring Campground and the Deep Creek Overlook. The terrain is marked by significant hydrological features, including the West Fork Dead Horse Creek and the East Fork Dead Horse Creek, which drain the southern slopes near Willow Peak.
