Ouachita National Forest blankets this corner of Arkansas, where the landscape is defined by the steep ridges of the Ouachita Mountains. The high peaks of Buck Knob and Fourche Mountain overlook a complex drainage system including Mill Creek and the curiously named Hole-in-the-Ground Creek. This 2024 survey captures the area's network of forest roads and trails, such as the Ouachita National Recreation Trl, which winds through the terrain between Irons Fork Mtn and Mast Mtn.
