Coso Hot Springs and the surrounding volcanic landscape define this corner of the Mojave Desert in Inyo County. The 2015 survey reveals a terrain shaped by geothermal activity and geological landmarks, including the prominent summit of Cactus Peak and the distinctive landform of Sugarloaf Mtn. This area is characterized by significant elevation changes, from the level expanse of Upper Cactus Flat to the geothermal features found at Devils Kitchen.
