Cape Flattery marks the extreme northwestern edge of the contiguous United States, where the Pacific Ocean meets the Salish Sea. This coastal landscape is defined by its maritime hazards and protected status, featuring significant sea stacks and offshore dangers such as Duncan Rock and Duntze Rock. Much of the shoreline is preserved within the Flattery Rocks National Wildlife Refuge and the northernmost reaches of Olympic National Park.
