Cape Saint George forms the southernmost tip of a barrier island system protecting Apalachicola Bay from the open Gulf of Mexico. This 2021 survey illustrates the dynamic coastal landscape of Little Saint George Island and Saint George Island, separated by the shifting waters of New Inlet. The interior of these islands is navigated by a network of trails, including the Island Ridge Trl, Long Road Trl, and the specialized Short Road Cut To Lighthouse Trl.
