Glen House sits at the base of a significant mountain corridor in the White Mountain National Forest, serving as a landmark for those traversing the Mount Washington Auto Road. This high-altitude terrain is defined by the massive ridge line spanning North Carter Mtn, Mid Carter Mtn, and South Carter Mtn, leading toward the prominence of Carter Dome. The landscape is a network of drainage and transport, where the Peabody River and its western branch gather water from the steep slopes of the White Mountains.

Heavy recreation infrastructure is documented throughout, including the Appalachian National Scenic Trail as it crosses Zeta Pass and winds through Carter Notch. Numerous specialized paths like the Daniel Webster Scout Trail and the Nineteen Mile Brook Trail indicate a long-established history of backcountry access.
