Oak Grove sits at the base of the high desert slopes in this Mohave County interior, where the landscape is defined by its seasonal water sources and ranching infrastructure. The area is dominated by the prominent summit of Castle Peak, which overlooks a network of ephemeral drainages including Salt House Draw and Snap Draw. These dry channels eventually feed into the major system of the Parashant Wash, split here into its West Fork and East Fork.
