About this map

The Hazel River and Thornton River carve a path through this Piedmont landscape on the border of Culpeper and Rappahannock counties. At the base of Castleton Mtn, the village of Castleton serves as a local anchor, while the road network connects smaller rural hamlets like Eggbornsville, Eldorado, and Cardova. The southern portion of the sheet is dominated by the corridor of the Sperryville Pike, which links Griffinsburg and Salem through the valley.
