The boundary between Clay Co Oktibbeha Co cuts through a landscape of creek bottoms and low ridges north of Starkville. The settlement of Cedar Bluff is the primary community in this area, situated near the headwaters of several drainages. The terrain is defined by a dense network of watercourses, including the meandering Line Cr and Trim Cane Cr, which carve through the clay soils of the Black Belt region.
