Church Rock stands as a prominent landmark in this high-desert landscape of Navajo County, overlooking the expansive Church Rock Valley. The terrain is defined by dramatic geological formations and mesas, including the appropriately named Baby Rocks Mesa and the elevated Gray Point to the north. A network of tribal transportation routes, such as Indian Rte-59 and Indian Rte-18, crisscrosses the arid floor, connecting the scattered points of interest across the reservation. At the western edge, the Facing Red Points provide a stark topographical boundary. This 2011 survey illustrates the modern road infrastructure of the region, including US Route 160, alongside traditional Navajo Nation designations like Indian Rte-57 and Indian Rte-6510.
