Giveout Mountain and Larch Mtn dominate this interior landscape along the border of Tillamook and Washington counties. The area is defined by a dense network of watercourses and logging-era infrastructure, where the Salmonberry River and Nehalem River carve through high elevations. Many of the local roads follow the winding paths of the drainages they serve, such as Salmonberry Rd and Idiot Creek Rd.
