Willamette National Forest encompasses the high-elevation terrain of this quadrangle, dominated by the prominent peaks of Coffin Mountain and the Three Pyramids. The landscape is a complex network of drainage basins, with several small alpine bodies of water including Parish Lake, Daly Lake, and Don Lake scattered across the timbered slopes. The hydrology is defined by the N Santiam River in the eastern portion of the sheet, fed by numerous creeks such as Blowout Cr and Straight Cr.
