Cold Spring Ridge and the Council Mountains dominate this high-elevation landscape along the border of the Payette National Forest and Boise National Forest. The eastern edge is defined by the massive expanse of Cascade Lake, where a Boat Ramp provides access near the West Mountain Road. The interior terrain is deeply incised by a complex drainage system including the Little Weiser River and Anderson Creek, which flow through heavily wooded basins like Cougar Basin.
