2014 Map of Columbus Peak

USGS Topo · Published 2014

About this map

The arid divide between the Eagletail Mountains and the Gila Bend Mountains defines this desert landscape on the border of Maricopa and Yuma Counties. This high-desert terrain is centered on the prominent Columbus Peak, which rises above a series of drainages including the broad Columbus Wash and the winding Copper Wash to the east. Human presence is sparse, marked primarily by the Arlington-Clanton Well Rd, which cuts across the western portion of the quadrangle near the low rise of Cem Ridge.
