Condrey Mountain dominates this portion of the high country along the border of Rogue River National Forest and Klamath National Forest. The landscape is defined by its numerous meadows and glades, such as Quaken Asp Glade, Miller Glade, and Deer Camp Meadows, which serve as critical landmarks in this high-elevation terrain. The Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail winds through the central area, passing through Wards Fork Gap and near named water sources like Buckhorn Spring and Windy Spring.
