Chugach National Forest encompasses the entirety of this high-elevation Alaskan terrain, where the landscape is defined by massive ice fields and glacial flow. The presence of Deserted Glacier and Tasnuna Glacier in the northern reaches of the quadrangle highlights the active cryosphere of this region. To the south, the terminal edges of Wortmanns Glacier and Cordova Glacier dominate the mountain basins. This modern topographic study shows the distribution of permanent snow and ice as it existed in 2024, providing a precise record of these glacial boundaries within the national forest. The map's contour lines illustrate the steep, glaciated valleys and high-altitude ridges that characterize this part of the Chugach Census Area.
