Mountain Lion Canyon and a network of named livestock tanks define this high-country landscape in the White Mountains region of eastern Arizona. The drainage systems of Big Bonito Cr and Little Bonito Cr carve through the terrain, joined by the headwaters of Tonto Cr and Willow Cr. Remote water management features such as John Hall Cabin Tank, Upper Corn Cr Tank, and Willow Trap Tank suggest the ranching heritage of the area. Access is limited to a few primitive county routes, including Co RD 70 and Co RD 72, which navigate the complex topography between the forks of Turkey Cr and Corn Cr. The map provides a precise view of the hydrology and public land survey system divisions in this corner of Apache County.
