Suemez Island, a significant landmass within the Alexander Archipelago, dominates the northern portion of this coastal survey. The island's southern shoreline is defined by dramatic landforms such as the prominent Cape Felix and the more sheltered waters of Arena Cove. To the east, Lantana Point projects into the surrounding waters, marking a distinct boundary between the island's timbered interior and the open sea. Much of the mapped territory falls within the protected boundaries of the Tongass National Forest, illustrating the intersection of maritime geography and managed federal timberlands. The vast expanse of the Gulf of Alaska fills the southern half of the sheet, highlighting the island's exposed position along the outer coast of Southeast Alaska.
