Warren Island dominates the southern half of this coastal survey, rising from the waters of Sumner Strait within the expansive Tongass National Forest. The island's interior is defined by high relief, peaking at Warren Peak, while its jagged coastline is marked by significant maritime landmarks such as Point Borlase and the nearby Borlase Rock. To the east, the island is separated from larger landmasses by Warren Channel, creating a complex network of inlets and sheltered waters.
