Indian Village sits near the eastern bank of Cottonwood Creek in this 2011 survey of the Utah high country. The landscape is defined by the drainage systems of North Cottonwood and its various tributaries, which have carved a network of named features such as Hammond Canyon, Allen Canyon, and the appropriately named Dry Wash. Access to the interior of this high-elevation terrain is facilitated by several Forest Service routes, including FS RD 399 and FS RD 300, which navigate around prominent landmarks like Milk Ranch Point and the namesake Cream Pots.
