Hart Mtn dominates the eastern skyline in this high-desert basin, where a series of interconnected lakes and wetlands define the valley floor. The hydrology of the region is centered on the transition between Hart Lake and Crump Lake, joined by the topographical constriction known as The Narrows. At the northern end of this corridor, Stone Bridge serves as a key crossing point between the marshes and the rising slopes of the mountains.
