Lolo National Forest and Bitterroot National Forest meet in this mountainous terrain along the border of Missoula and Ravalli counties. The landscape is defined by the high elevations of the Sapphire Mountains, including landmarks such as Baldy Mtn and the namesake Davis Point. A complex network of forest roads and trails, such as Mistletoe Mountain Rd and Red Rock Trl, provides access to these peaks and the drainages that flow from them.
