Dead Indian Peak and the formidable limestone escarpment known as The Wall dominate this landscape in the eastern Absaroka Range. This 2012 U.S. Geological Survey representation of the high-altitude terrain north of the North Fork Shoshone River drainage shows a wilderness area defined by steep drainages and prominent summits. Water flows from the heights through numerous named tributaries, including Dead Indian Cr and the centrally located Big Cr, which features the dramatic Big Creek Falls.
