Division Peak and the surrounding Division Range dominate this high-desert terrain along the Washoe and Humboldt County line. The landscape is defined by its series of distinct high points, including Ladden Cone, Sheep Peaks, and Mt Observation, which offer a clear view of the complex topography of the Great Basin. Sparse but critical water sources, such as McCarty Spring, Donnelly Spring, and King Spring, are the primary landmarks in an otherwise arid environment.
