Fishlake National Forest encompasses the eastern half of this terrain, where the high elevations of the Pahvant Range meet the descent into the Great Basin. The landscape is defined by the significant corridor of Dog Valley, providing a natural passage between the mountains marked by Cove Fort Dog Valley Pass. To the north, the terrain levels out into the broad expanse of White Sage Flat, while the interior is dissected by steep drainages like Widemouth Canyon and Thousand Dollar Gulch.
