Sulphur Hot Springs and the southern banks of the Suiattle River define the lower elevations of this wilderness landscape in the North Cascades. The 2011 survey details a network of high-country drainage systems including Kindy Creek, Goat Creek, and Downey Creek, which feed into the primary river valley. High peaks such as Mount Buckindy and Downey Mountain dominate the topography, interspersed with remote alpine water bodies like Bench Lake, Downey Lake, and Pilot Lake.
