E Redwater Cr and Duplisse Cr carve through the high plains of Richland County, defining the drainage patterns of this sparsely settled landscape. The terrain is structured by a network of county roads including Co Rd 480, Co Rd 308, and Co Rd 133, which follow the section lines of the Public Land Survey System. These routes provide access to the agricultural parcels that dominate the townships of T25N, T24N, and T23N. In the southern portion of the quadrangle, the headwaters of N Fork Lisk Cr emerge, intersecting with Co Rd 127. This 2017 survey reflects the enduring rural character of eastern Montana, where life is organized around the creek beds and the persistent grid of the prairie road system.
