Mattakeunk Stream and its many tributaries, including Potter Brook and Crocker Brook, define the drainage of this Penobscot County interior. The landscape is marked by the small settlements of East Winn and Crockertown, connected by a network of rural roads such as Winn RD and North RD. Near the western edge, the Penobscot River flows past Houston Island and the town of Winn, where Main ST provides a point of local transit.
