Edgartown Great Pond and the surrounding coastal necks define the southern shoreline of Martha's Vineyard in this 2012 survey. The landscape is a series of glacial outwash fingers, including Scrubby Neck, Jobs Neck, and Kanomika Neck, separated by coastal salt ponds and coves. The settlement of Katama occupies the eastern portion of the sheet, characterized by a grid of coastal roads and the Katama Airpark.
