Evans is situated within a landscape defined by the drainage patterns of the Little Belt Mountains foothills, where numerous coulees and creeks converge. The hydrology of this area is complex, featuring the Middle Fork Sand Coulee Creek, East Fork Sand Coulee Creek, and Sand Coulee Creek proper, which cut through the terrain alongside Half Breed Creek and Tiger Creek. This 2011 survey illustrates a sparsely populated region of Cascade County dominated by ranch roads and natural landmarks. To the southeast, the prominent elevation of Tiger Butte rises above the surrounding plains. The local infrastructure is represented by rural routes such as Evans Riceville Rd and Beckstrom Rd, which follow the natural contours of the land and the paths of waterways like Box Elder Creek.
