Fall Creek anchors the southern portion of this landscape where the village sits at the head of Fall Creek Valley. The terrain is defined by the winding course of the Eau Claire River, which cuts through the center of the sheet, featuring the significant natural landmark of Big Falls. To the north, the land is etched by a series of numbered tributaries including Sevenmile Cr, Sixmile Cr, and Ninemile Cr, which flow through undulating topography near the Chippewa and Eau Claire county line.

Local history is preserved in the location of Saint Bridgets Cem in the north and Trinity Cem near the village center.
