The landscape is dominated by the sprawling timberlands of the Bowdoin College Grant (West) and its eastern counterpart, intersected by a network of drainage basins and prominent peaks. High-elevation vantage points are noted at the VABM Lookout Tower atop Number Four Mtn and the summit of Elephant Mtn.
