Kokadjo serves as the primary settlement within this vast interior of Piscataquis County, situated where the Roach River flows into the western reach of First Roach Pond. The landscape is dominated by the sprawling timberlands of the Bowdoin College Grant (West) and its eastern counterpart, intersected by a network of drainage basins and prominent peaks. High-elevation vantage points are noted at the VABM Lookout Tower atop Number Four Mtn and the summit of Elephant Mtn.
