Flatiron Mountain and the Belmont Mountains dominate the horizon of this arid landscape in central Arizona, marking the northern reaches of the Tonopah Desert. The most significant modern infrastructure on the sheet is the Central Arizona Project Aqueduct, which cuts across the upper half of the quadrangle, carrying water across the Hassayampa Plain.
