Snoqualmie National Forest dominates this section of the Cascade Range, where high-elevation basins and ridges define a landscape of meadows and creeks. The terrain is marked by prominent crests including Strobach Mtn, Divide Ridge, and the distinct summit of Dome Peak. Between these heights lie isolated clearings such as Sleepy Park Meadow, Golden Meadow, and the expansive Pickle Prairie Meadows.

Water systems flow from the heights through several drainages, notably South Fork Cowiche Creek and the headwaters of North Fork Ahtanum Creek. Navigation through the area is traced by primitive routes like the 4wd Divide Ridge Trl and the Louie Tr, which passes through Louie Way Gap. The eastern portion of the map includes unique geographic labels such as Nasty Creek Flats and Dead Horse Flats, alongside the central landmark of Foundation Ridge.
