The Fishdam River and its numerous tributaries, including Southwest Br Fishdam River and Little Fishdam River, dominate this section of the Hiawatha National Forest. Flowing south toward the Upper Peninsula's shoreline, these waters eventually meet the Lake Michigan coast at Big Bay de Noc. The landscape is characterized by its dense network of creeks, such as Camp Twelve Cr and Archambeau Cr, alongside smaller water bodies like Warner Lake and Cousineau Lake.
