2005 Map of Grand View

USGS Topo · Published 2006

About this map

Grand View serves as the primary northern settlement in this corner of Bayfield County, positioned just above the Great Divide that separates water drainage toward the Great Lakes and the Mississippi River. The landscape is dominated by the dense woodlands of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, where a complex network of glacial kettle lakes and streams defines the topography. To the west, the Porcupine Lake Wilderness preserves a roadless character, while to the east, the Marengo Semi-Primitive Non-Motorized Area borders the winding Marengo River.
