Keel Mtn and Gunters Mtn dominate this northeast Alabama landscape where the borders of Jackson, Madison, and Marshall counties converge. The terrain is defined by complex drainage systems and numerous hollows, including Keel Hollow, Watts Hollow, and Click Hollow, which cut through the high plateaus. Small agricultural communities and family settlements like Butler Mill, Nebo, and Humpton are scattered across the lower elevations, connected by a network of rural roads such as New Hope Rd and Grant Hwy.
