Guadalupe serves as a small population center in this high-desert landscape of Sandoval County, situated near the Guadalupe Cem and Guadalupe Springs. The area's history of transit and traversal is etched into the terrain via the Wagon Trail Trl and the modern path of the Continental Divide National Scenic Trl. These routes navigate a complex system of drainage and relief, including the prominent Rio Puerco and its many tributaries like Arroyo Chico.
