Guadalupita serves as the primary anchor in this high-altitude landscape of Mora County, situated along the winding course of Coyote Cr. The terrain is defined by a series of prominent mesas and canyons, where Ocate Mesa and LeFebres Mesa overlook deep drainage systems like Los Huerros Canyon and LeFebres Canyon. This 2017 survey reveals a complex network of seasonal watercourses, including Jarosa Cr and Los Huerros Cr, which feed into the larger creek systems. High-country landmarks such as Cerro Montoso and La Chuacha stand as significant topographical points within the northern New Mexico highlands. The settlement pattern near the village is evidenced by a cluster of local roads such as Coyote Rd and Rincon Rd, while the upland areas remain largely open and defined by their natural hydrology, including the isolated Cowboy Lake.
