The High Plains landscape at the meeting of Bent and Prowers counties is defined by a series of branching drainages and ephemeral draws. The southern edge of the sheet transitions across the Prowers and Baca county line, where the terrain begins to slope toward the valley of Two Butte Creek. This region, characterized by its isolation and vast grazing lands, is bisected by a network of county roads including Co RD G and Co RD C, which follow the section lines of the Public Land Survey System.
