The village of Hesperia straddles the boundary between Oceana and Newaygo Counties, centered around the Hesperia Pond and the confluence of the South Branch White River. This 2019 survey illustrates the transition from the structured street grid of the village into the protected lands of the Manistee National Forest to the southwest. The area is characterized by a dense concentration of cemeteries, including West Hesperia Cem, East Hesperia Cem, and Christ the King Catholic Cem, reflecting the long-established communities of this region.
