Honey Boy Ranch sits at the southern edge of this landscape within the Santa Fe National Forest. The area is defined by a dense network of high-elevation drainages and canyons, including Cañon de Tijeras and the lengthy Cañon Cola y Largo. These valleys are fed by numerous small waterways such as Soldier Cr, Cow Cr, and Rito Manzanares, which carve through the foothills of the Santa Fe Mountains.
