Columbia River flows along the southern boundary of this Okanogan County landscape, where the waters of Rufus Woods Lake mark the border with Douglas County. The terrain is defined by a series of deep drainages including Hopkins Canyon, Weber Canyon, and Lee Canyon, which cut through the high ground between Hamilton Mtn and Whitmore Mtn. A network of Bureau of Indian Affairs routes, such as Bia RD 69 and Bia RD 54, provide access across the Colville Indian Reservation lands.
