Hot Springs and the unusual geological feature known as the Devils Punch Bowl anchor this high-desert landscape in northeast Elko County. The terrain is defined by the drainage of Hot Springs Creek, which flows southeast toward its confluence with the Marys River. Transportation in this remote corner of Nevada is limited to unpaved routes like CR 747, which crosses the western portion of the quadrangle near the Pole Canyon Creek Summit.
